He made his Test cricket debut in the Ashes series of 2010-11 which was the final match of that year. After playing several seasons for the Western Australian cricket team, Beer returned to his home state of Victoria to continue his professional cricket career in the year 2016-17.

Michael Beer’s full name is Michael Anthony Beer. He was born on 9 June 1984 in Malvern, Victoria, Australia. Beer is currently 38 years old as of 2022. His nickname is Frothy and he is 6 feet 2 inches tall. He is specifically a bowler and a right-handed batsman.
Early Life of Michael Beer
Michael Beer made some success with St. Kilda by taking 100 wickets in two seasons and he was also selected in the premier cricket teams of the year two times. However, he was not able to make his way into the Victorian Cricket squad ahead of other spin bowling options like Bryce McGain, Cameron White, and Jon Holland. Later he played some Second XI matches for Victoria in the Cricket Australia Cup. In 2007 he went to England with the Victorian emerging players. For 2006-07, he won the Crusaders or Robert Rose Scholarship for taking 43 wickets at a bowling average of 19.88. After the 2009-10 domestic season, he moved from Victoria to Western Australia where he signed a contract with the western warriors for the cricket 2010-11 season. In October 2010, he made his debut in the Warriors first by taking part in the 2010-11 Ryobi cup match which was against Victoria. Then in the 2016-17 season, he represented Victoria in the Matador cup which was a one-day competition. In his first game, he took a hat trick which made him the only 7th Australian domestic bowler to take a one-day domestic hat trick.
International Career of Michael Beer
In December 2010, Beer was named in the Australian test squad for the third Ashes test which was to be played at the WACA ground.
On 3 January 2011, Beer debuted in the fifth test in Sydney along with batsman Usman Khawaja. When a catch by Ben Hilfenhaus at mid-off from Alastair Cook who is England opener was over turnover after a front foot no ball then Beer rejected his maiden Test wicket. He claimed his first test wicket by dismissing Paul Collingwood for 13 and the catch was finished by Hilfenhaus at deep mid-on. He was the last Batman who was dismissed in the second innings of the Australia match which enabled England to complete a victory by innings and it was a three-one series win. Beer made two runs in the second innings which added to the two not outs that he made in the first innings.
Michael Beer was chosen for the Australia tour to the west indies in 2012. However, he was not chosen for the first test but in the second test and he opened the bowling in that match.
